Programme
Curriculum
The children at Ableland @ Tampines never experience a dull moment. They are always engaged and eager to participate in interesting, fun-filled classroom activities during lessons. The teachers ensure that they absorb key lessons and knowledge prescribed in the programmes and pay particular attention to creating a positive and pleasant learning experience for them.
The programmes in our curriculum are taught through Cambridge Project Work and play, with focus on fostering development of independence, concentration, will and self-discipline in children. Children will be engaged in concrete investigations, exploration, construction and discovery of related topics.
The innovative in-house programmes in our curriculum are designed to provide enhanced, full spectrum enrichments for our children.
We pay special attention to the five different developmental domains of children which all relate to each other. They are easily referred to as the SPICE of life:
Social – Develop the ability to form attachments, play with others, co-operation and sharing, and being able to create lasting relationships with others.
Physical – Develop Fine (small) and Gross (large) Motor Skills.
Intellectual – Help the child make sense of the world around them.
Creative – Develop special abilities and creating talents. Music, Art, Writing, Reading, and Singing are all ways for creative development to take place.
Emotional – Develop self-awareness, self-confidence, and coping with feelings as well as understanding them.
